Just wondering what the best option is for me to edit MPEG2 in final cut express. I've tried converting the MPEG2 file from VLC but am having no luck. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Andrew

i use ffmpegx for transcoding the archive's mpeg-2 (ntsc) movies to dv (pal) ones. you might have to play around with the preferences if it does not work at first...: http://ffmpegx.com/download.html

Awesome, ffmpegx works like a dream. A little funny on the installation, but it does an awesome job. THANKS!
